Less than 12 hours

It's a little disturbing when you get the automated phone call that your shuttle will be by to pick you up in 12 hours... and the time is 3pm. Yes, I need to be standing in my driveway soon. Looks like sleep will be a premium from here on out.

Lets hope that North Korea can tone down the saber rattling, and that Thailand doesn't descend into chaos for just a couple more weeks.

Bag packed?

The first year I prepared for Cambodia it took at least one solid day of packing. I mean an 8 hour day. I had a basic checklist of what I needed, but since I hadn't done it before I was doing a lot of double checking and adding to my list.

This afternoon I did just about everything in 1 hour. I'm to the point now where I'm concerned that I'll forget basic items. It's the same level of comfort now as when I travel domestically. Rather frightening!

Organizing MP3s

When you face the daunting prospect of nearly two days of solid air travel, you want to make sure you have entertainment at hand. Last year I was on a Korean Air flight that didn't have the individual seat-back video units. Thankfully, they did have regular electrical plugs in all of the seats. I felt like I dodged a bullet on that one. I'm going to make sure my iTunes and iPhone are chuck full of things to watch and listen to.

Speaking of bullets, I'm hoping the North Koreans can settle down over the coming weeks. I'd rather my flight not have to dodge missles.
